SSL

Established in 1986, SSL is a joint venture between Edgo and the Hayel Saeed Anam (HSA) Group, supporting clients across Yemen’s oil, gas, and power sectors. The company combines HSA’s in-country expertise with Edgo’s international technical capabilities and energy sector experience.

SSL provides marine and terminal support services, chemical blending, technical services, and oilfield equipment supply. Through its partnership with Smit Lamnalco, the company supports safe terminal operations, reliable vessel handling, and offshore logistics at Yemen’s oil and gas export terminals.

Recognizing the need to strengthen local supply capabilities, Edgo, through SSL, invested in establishing the only chemical blending facility in the Aden Free Zone in 2007. The facility supports Yemen’s oil and gas sector with locally blended oilfield production chemicals, technical support, and responsive supply solutions that help reduce reliance on imported products and contribute to in-country value.

Marine and Terminal Support Services

Through a partnership with Smit Lamnalco, a global provider of first-class, reliable, and customized marine support services, SSL delivers marine and towage services supporting the safe and efficient operation of Yemen’s oil and gas export terminals. These services contribute to continuity in offshore logistics, vessel handling, and terminal operations in complex and demanding environments.

Chemical Blending and Technical Services

The purpose-built chemical blending facility manufactures production chemicals for upstream oil and gas operations, with quality control processes aligned with recognized international standards. Field technical and after-sales support helps operators maintain system performance and optimize production.

Oilfield Equipment Supply

Through partnerships with global technology providers such as Baker Hughes and Rotork, clients gain access to essential oilfield equipment, process machinery, and spare parts for upstream and downstream applications. These partnerships support reliable supply, high-quality solutions, and the continuity of Yemen’s energy infrastructure.
