REDA Free Zone (RFZ), a joint venture between Edgo and SLB, is a long-established provider of artificial lift solutions in Egypt and holds the largest market share among its peers. Established in 1989, RFZ has developed into a leading regional center for artificial lift and horizontal pumping technologies, supporting Egypt’s oil and gas sector for more than three decades.

RFZ delivers integrated artificial lift solutions that combine engineering expertise, advanced equipment, and digital capabilities to support field performance and operational efficiency. Its portfolio includes Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP), Electrical Submersible Progressive Cavity Pumps (ESPCP), Horizontal Pumping Systems (HPS), and artificial lift digital solutions, serving a wide range of reservoir and production conditions.

Engineering and Technical Expertise

RFZ’s engineering and technical teams develop field-proven artificial lift systems tailored to specific reservoir characteristics and operational challenges. Solutions are designed to address conditions such as high water cut, abrasive fluids, and complex operating environments, with a focus on system reliability, uptime, and lifecycle performance.

Integrated Facility

RFZ operates a fully integrated assembly, repair, and testing center in Egypt, supporting the complete lifecycle of ESP and HPS systems. The facility provides comprehensive capabilities, including:

– Assembly, repair, and QA/QC testing of submersible motors, pumps,  protectors, intakes, gas separators, and handlers

– Downhole sensor testing and diagnostics

– Surface drive repair and testing, including on-site load testing

– Failure analysis and performance validation

These capabilities enable responsive technical support, consistent quality control, and efficient lifecycle services for operators across Egypt’s energy sector.

Performance Live Center

RFZ operates Egypt’s first Performance Live Center, a digital operations hub dedicated to the real-time monitoring and optimization of artificial lift systems. The center supports remote performance analysis, trend detection, and early identification of operating issues, enabling timely intervention and improved system reliability. This capability reflects RFZ’s focus on integrating digital tools with field execution to support consistent production performance.
