January 7, 2025 – Edgo announces the renewal of the joint venture agreement with SLB in Egypt for REDA Pump Company Free Zone (RFZ). This renewal marks a significant milestone as the partnership reaches its 25-year anniversary. The collaboration will continue to combine technological expertise with extensive regional experience to drive innovation and excellence in the oilfield services industry for the next 25 years.
RFZ was established in 1989 in Cairo, Egypt. In 1999, the company entered a joint venture with SLB, and since then, RFZ has become a leader in Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and Horizontal Pumping Systems (HPS). Operating from a 10,202-square-meter facility in the Nasr City Free Zone, Egypt, RFZ provides comprehensive assembly, repair, and testing services for submersible motors, pumps, protectors, intakes, gas separators, and handlers. The facility is fully equipped with advanced test benches for downhole sensors, cables, surface drive repairs, and on-site load testing, ensuring top-tier performance and reliability in the oilfield services sector.
