Cairo, Egypt – August 4, 2024 – The REDA Pump Company Free Zone (RFZ) proudly commemorated its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter-century of excellence and innovation in the oilfield services industry. The milestone event, held at RFZ’s state-of-the-art facility in the Nasr City Free Zone, Cairo, highlighted the successful joint venture between Edgo and SLB, which has driven RFZ’s growth and achievements over the years.
Established in 1989, RFZ entered a strategic joint venture with SLB in 1999. This collaboration has since transformed RFZ into a leader in Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and Horizontal Pumping Systems (HPS). Operating from a 10,202-square-meter facility, RFZ offers comprehensive assembly, repair, and testing services for submersible motors, pumps, protectors, intakes, gas separators, and handlers. The facility is fully equipped with advanced test benches for downhole sensors, cables, surface drive repairs, and on-site load testing, ensuring top-tier performance and reliability in the oilfield services sector.
The anniversary celebration featured a keynote speech by Munib R. Masri, founder and chairman of Edgo, who highlighted the rich history and significant milestones achieved through the 50/50 joint venture with SLB. He stated, “Together, we have built a legacy of innovation and excellence in the oilfield services industry, and we remain committed to pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve.” RFZ’s journey over the past 25 years exemplifies the exceptional collaboration between Edgo and SLB.
The event included the distribution of gifts and commemorative trophies to long-standing employees, recognizing their dedication and contributions to RFZ’s success. Each honored employee received a special gift and a trophy token of appreciation for their service and commitment.
